Charles passed away on Friday 11 April in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He had been admitted a few days earlier after collapsing at this home. We believe Charles was diagnosed with advanced cancer in both his brain and his lungs. He was 81 years old.

Charles was a long serving member of Sidcup Rugby Club, probably one of the longest. He often recounted stories of spending his childhood playing in the fields around the club where he later became a player, served on various committees before becoming Chairman and then President from 2009 to 2016. A true stalwart of the club.

Charles' funeral will be on Monday 19th May at 12:30pm at Kemnal Park Crematorium and after at the rugby club. Everybody is welcome to attend.
